Town suspends two towing licenses tied to 1027 Route 17 after site-plan and CO violations

The Town of Tuxedo Town Board voted unanimously April 22 to suspend two 2025 towing licenses for businesses operating from 1027 Route 17 in Southfields after finding the property out of compliance with approved site-plan conditions and lacking a certificate of occupancy.
Supervisor Dave McMillen said the Town Building Inspector summarized a history of violations at the Property and advised the Board the site-plan and certificate-of-occupancy issues remained uncorrected. The first resolution suspended the license issued to Itzy’s Collision Enterprises, LLC; the second suspended the license issued to ISM Car Rental Inc. d/b/a Itzy’s Auto Repair. In both cases neither the Applicant nor a representative appeared at the adjourned hearing. Each suspension was adopted on a motion by Supervisor McMillen, seconded by Councilmember Adam Eirand, recorded as 5 Ayes, 0 Nays, and stated to be effective April 22, 2026.
The resolutions cite Town of Tuxedo Code §37-7(E) and §98-55 D(15) and New York State Building Code §105.9 as bases for action. The Board noted that no renewal applications will be considered until the violations are remedied and warned the applicants that the licenses may be revoked following further proceedings if additional violations or convictions occur.
