Village to solicit bids for tornado sirens after recent failure; one fuse repaired

Given an approximate cost of $40,000 per siren, Treasurer Mindy Olson said the purchase must be put out to bid under procurement rules. Trustees asked staff to prepare bid specifications, publish a legal notice and plan for a 30–60 day procurement cycle so installs can proceed before next severe-weather season.
