Village approves combined animal control agreement with Morgan County

Trustees and staff clarified operational details before the vote: Treasurer Mindy Olson explained that "an individual cannot call dispatch and request an animal control officer directly, it would go through law enforcement," and Police Chief Eric Hansell confirmed that dispatch will triage calls and contact animal-control when appropriate. Trustees also confirmed the agreement waives a reinstatement fee. The board approved the final agreement as presented and instructed staff to execute the documents in accord with the packet.
