Coffee City’s council approved a resolution seeking action on the intersection of Hwy 155 and FM 2215 in Berryville during its March 10 meeting.
Mayor Marquis Castleberry told the council the state had begun installing signs and lighting at the intersection. Councilmember Kevin Haughey pointed out that the resolution number printed on the paper differed from the agenda; the council corrected the citation and approved the item as resolution 20250310-01. Ruthie Seward moved to approve the corrected resolution and Kevin Haughey seconded. The motion carried.
Council members also discussed extending similar requests to the Hwy 155 and FM 3506 intersection and said they would pursue appropriate traffic counts and numbers before formal action.
