Sewer operator reports plant at 26% capacity; Lift Station 1 still awaiting generator parts

Josh Taylor, the city's sewer operator, briefed the Coldspring City Council on April operations, saying the treatment plant ran at 26% capacity with an average flow of 0.53 million gallons per day and a monthly rain total of 6.25 inches. He reported Triple V installed a new automatic transfer switch and that Lift Station 1 has been bottom-cleaned and rehabbed by 5B Controls (mechanical), Triple V (electrical) and RLS (pump truck).
Taylor said Lift Station 1 is now on 3-phase power but that its backup generator is “not working” and the city is waiting on parts for repair. He reported Lift Stations 2–6 had no issues and that there were no sampling violations for March. Council did not take separate action on operations beyond receiving the report.
