The Rockland Community Preservation Act Committee met June 9, 2026, and approved its May 4 meeting minutes after a motion by Joe Reis and a second from Charlie Williams. The committee also voted unanimously to authorize $11,000 from administrative funds — including contingency — for a land survey after a motion from Reis and a second by Thom Roache.
Committee members spent the remainder of the 75-minute meeting reviewing ongoing preservation work and potential new projects, including near-complete headstone restorations at Old Town Cemetery, pending fencing work, proposed phased improvements at Hartsuff Park, and plans to digitize historic newspapers from Abington Historical. The meeting concluded after committee members agreed to pursue coordinated training with the State CPA Coalition and adjourned at 8:16 p.m.
