Fire Chief Douglas Chappell told the board that a public meeting about the Valencia Road project is scheduled for Oct. 23 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at GracePointe Church and described that session as 'the final look.' He said the road project will have a major impact on the district's service area and encouraged attention to the meeting.
Chief Chappell also updated the board on IT services: Silverado has been given a 90‑day period to correct deficiencies because the vendor's client base has grown and the district is not large relative to their workload. "There is a 90‑day period to correct deficiencies," Chappell said. He added that Silverado "has grown so big that we are not very important to them," describing why the adjustment period was set.
