Henderson approves fireworks, traffic UPS and meter purchases; utility office improvements authorized

The board approved a $7,500 contract with Pyro Shows for a fireworks display on June 27 funded by a TN250 state grant. It also approved purchase of a UPS battery backup system for the US Hwy 45 and W. Main Street traffic signal from Temple, Inc. for $6,326.00, citing improved safety and multi-hour battery run time. The Utility Department was authorized to purchase 1" and 3/4" AMR water meters from ETEC Services, LLC for $6,207.00 to replenish inventory. Separately, the board authorized improvements to the utility collection office area at City Hall, approving quotes of $9,825.00 for woodwork from Architectural Millwork and $6,200.00 for glass from Thomas Glass Company, to be paid from the City Hall Maintenance budget.
