Heritage Pines board approves additional cleanup at area 33; engineer flags wetland and mowing constraints

District Manager Chuck Adams presented a proposal requested by Supervisor Carol Vaughan for additional cleanup at area 33, covering perimeter cleanup, removal of dead trees and mulching. The board discussed scope based on a site visit and approved the proposal, including the optional weed‑whacker scope in the dry retention slope, on a motion by Mr. Walsh, seconded by Mr. Putman, with all in favor.
District Engineer Kurt Heath advised the board that there is a natural wetland in the center of the area and an excavated retention area on the western side; he said the "portion on the south side is difficult to mow with equipment," and noted optional cleanup with weed whackers is recommended though it "does not impede drainage." Ms. Vaughan asked for maps to be provided to Mr. Putman and voiced that additional mulch is needed; Mr. Adams said the invoice will be paid upon completion.
