The vote followed resident comments that the tree and an associated debris pile posed a hazard to nearby homes during hurricanes; Putman inspected and photographed the site earlier the same day.
District Manager Chuck Adams contrasted the A‑Z approach with a separate Environmental Solutions proposal, saying the two vendors "are similar tasks but with different intensities and different methods; the areas done by ES will likely be more esthetically pleasing because it is more of a handwork approach; whereas, A‑Z will use a forestry mulcher, which grinds everything." The Board approved the single $600 stump-grind estimate for the identified property.
