Jamie (tourism staff) told commissioners the county had contracted for brochure distribution to reach visitors and large-vehicle drivers about Zion Tunnel closures, using Certified Travel Media's rack network in hotels, RV parks and gas stations across Southern Utah, Arizona, Nevada and Northern Utah.
"The agreement is for $20,040. It will run for a year, and the creation of the brochures was just approved through the purchase orders... this agreement is for the distribution," Jamie said, adding that Certified Travel Media's printing partner produced the 140,000 brochures and the county will track interest in part via QR codes. Commissioners approved Resolution R-2026-3735 to enter the purchase agreement and asked about distribution placement and success metrics; staff noted that placement is determined by the distributor and that monitoring uses QR tracking and visitor-center feedback.
