"There will be 1,100 pickleball players and professional athletes that are here playing," a county presenter said, describing the expected scale of the event. Commissioners approved the contract by voice vote following a motion and second. The agreement was presented as a tourism-hosted event meant to showcase county facilities and support local visitor-economy activity.
