He highlighted several incidents: a missing 19‑year‑old who was located deceased after a 109‑hour search in mid‑January, and a missing at‑risk juvenile in Apple Valley found safe after about six hours of searching during severe weather.
Croft described a Feb. 20 operation at Hellhole Pass in which four individuals were found; two required helicopter hoist evacuations and ambulance transport. Commissioners thanked search volunteers and noted the scale of volunteer effort.
