Planning staff presented a zone-change request to rezone roughly 17 acres at approximately 200 West Juniper Road in Dammer(n) Valley from OSC-20 (open-space conservation, 20-acre minimum) to RA-10 (residential-agricultural, 10-acre minimum). The applicant is seeking to bring a previously split parcel into compliance after portions were sold off without subdivision approval; staff said the parcel meets applicable subdivision requirements and the planning commission unanimously recommended approval.
Staff addressed neighbors' concerns about rumors of commercial uses (glamping or an arena) and clarified that the RA-10 designation limits development to residential-agricultural uses and cannot be used for commercial development. After brief commissioner questions and a motion to adopt the ordinance, the board approved the rezoning.
