The Washington County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 17 adopted its consent agenda, approving auditor-approved claims for 02/04/2026–02/17/2026, meeting minutes, administrative property adjustments and a public defender contract. Commissioner (speaker 3) moved to adopt the consent agenda and the motion carried after a second and voice vote.
County staff also presented several purchase requests that the board approved, including legal services for the county attorney's office ($15,782.86), a replacement Can-Am for the noxious weed control department ($18,372.11), active-shooter shields for the sheriff's office ($18,400), dental equipment for the sheriff's dental program ($24,253.54), and Legacy Park advertising and fair book printing totaling roughly $33,673. Halpern (speaker 12) answered commissioners' clarifying questions about the dental equipment and the Legacy Park purchases before the board voted to approve.
