Muttontown board adopts Local Law 3 of 2026 to repeal earlier tax-levy override

The Board of Trustees opened a public hearing at 7:14 p.m. on Local Law 3 of 2026, a proposed local law to repeal Local Law 1 of 2026 concerning the village's ability to override the tax levy limit established by General Municipal Law §3-c. Clerk-Treasurer Joe Russo provided an overview of the proposed repeal.
After no public comments, the board closed the hearing at 7:15 p.m. and adopted Local Law 3 of 2026 by unanimous poll (Resolution 26-91). On the recorded poll of the board, Trustees Fagen, Scialli, Deputy Mayor Prasad, Trustee Schloss, Trustee Singh and Mayor Liguori all voted aye.
