Kimberly Ramsey, a property owner whose lot adjoins one of the parcels under consideration, spoke during the hearing’s public-comment period and said she had come "mostly today to just learn about what's going on." She identified herself to the board: "My name is Kimberly Ramsey. I'm the owner of 641 Long Shoals Road, which adjoins this property."
Ramsey said she was not filing formal opposition but expressed concern about impacts to neighboring properties and neighborhood character. "This property has been in my family since the fifties, and I remember playing in Long Shoals Road as a child," she said, describing how the corridor has changed and adding, "I'm not even gonna pretend that Long Shoals Road is not going commercial." The chair thanked her for attending and the board proceeded to close public comment and begin deliberations.
