Resident cites sidewalk debris, culvert need and meter pit safety during public comment

Tom Strohl raised a cluster of public-works concerns during public comment, citing debris and grading problems from recent sidewalk construction. "The corner of 6th & Wilson Avenue needs to have a culvert in the ditch; and the area around the 6th & Maple Avenue sidewalk should extend past 6th Street," Strohl said. He also said trash, concrete and rocks remain along the sidewalk and ditch areas.
Strohl additionally reported that Seamless Fiber manholes have not been backfilled or have settled and need additional dirt, and that water meter pits are set too high and need to be lowered for mowing. The council thanked him and said staff would investigate the issues.
