Engineer briefs Neoga council on multiple public‑works projects; some work to start as weather allows

Engineer Lee Beckman of Milano & Grunloh handed out a project update and summarized progress and upcoming work on the city’s infrastructure portfolio. Beckman reported no new updates on the SWTP, said Kieffer Bros. Construction should start CDAP work in the next few weeks as weather improves, and noted ITEP crews will return to finish clean-up and grass seeding once conditions allow.
Beckman also told the council the city did not receive a Rebuild IL/RISE grant and that an application for a Community Facilities Grant to fund a vac truck or trailer has been completed; if awarded the city would receive $30,000 toward that purchase. The engineer’s update covered multiple active projects and steps the city expects to take as weather and funding allow.
