The Neoga City Council adopted Ordinance 1105-03-25 on March 24, repealing Sections 18-1 through 18-4 of Chapter 18 of the city code. City Administrator and Clerk Brenda Evans explained the measure had been discussed in January and would remove the requirement that commercial buildings present third-party inspection certificates after construction.
Commissioner Edwards moved to approve the ordinance and Commissioner Letizia seconded. The council voted 4-0 to adopt the repeal. No council member recorded opposition. The minutes note that the ordinance addresses how certificates are issued following commercial construction and was brought forward for formal action at this meeting.
The council did not attach additional amendments during the meeting and no public comment is recorded in the minutes on this ordinance. Staff were not directed to take further changes beyond adoption at this session.
