Neoga council opts for 450 Iperl water meters, drops remote shut-off feature to cut costs

After discussion about cost and staff capacity, Commissioner Letizia moved to delete the remote meters and purchase 450 Iperl meters with software and installation; Commissioner Schabbing seconded and the motion passed 4-0.
The council did not authorize remote shut-off capability as part of this purchase; staff will continue to perform manual shut-offs as needed. The clerk did not state a vendor price in the minutes and no contract number was recorded during the meeting; the council approved the procurement direction and authorized staff to move forward with purchase and installation.
