UN reports heavy IDF activity in south Lebanon; peacekeepers find munitions and UXOs

Farhan said the UN interim force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) observed Israeli land and air activity across its area of operations in South Lebanon over the weekend. "UNIFIL detected 455 projectiles fired by the Israel Defense Force from Friday to Sunday, striking South Lebanon," he said, adding that peacekeepers recorded 97 airspace violations, mostly by drones.
He described incidents in which peacekeepers found unguarded weapons and unexploded ordnance, reported recovery of a 7.62 mm round near accommodation areas, and detailed the discovery of a 107 mm rocket launcher and multiple rockets that were referred to the Lebanese army for further action. The briefing noted that humanitarian liaison branches facilitated three humanitarian missions during the period.
