Farhan said the UN was monitoring developments after a reported magnitude-7.4 earthquake struck central Colombia and was felt across the region from Panama to Venezuela. "This morning, we are monitoring the developments following the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Colombia this morning," he said, noting that the epicenter was reported between the departments of Chocó and Valle del Cauca and that connectivity in rural areas was limited.
