"We had about 200 people there," Cook said, adding the event centered on aligning strategic initiatives and establishing KPIs. He also reported that the district delivered "over 600 signs, almost 700 signs across this district," and described the community response as positive. Cook provided an update on Bend High: phase‑1 is complete, phase‑2 construction is underway and the district will bring future auditorium conversations to the board as the project progresses.
Cook said the district will begin a two‑year sites and facilities review to inventory community resources and inform long‑term stewardship of about $900,000,000 in insured buildings. He invited board engagement and community input as the review is developed.
