Mayor Marc DePauli urged vigilance on cybersecurity and announced the municipal golf course reopening; he also paid tribute to Sergeant Celestino Chavez, Jr., a U.S. Army veteran whose remains were recovered from the Korean War and for whom burial arrangements were forthcoming. IT Director Suzanne Begay requested a $14,100 budget adjustment to complete door-access readers and controllers at City Hall and the GJU building; council approved the adjustment. Tourism Manager Matt Robinson invited the public to the Summer Concert Series (headliner Over the Limit with opener James Mecale) and requested an $800 adjustment to relocate an art installation; council approved the small tourism adjustment.
Councilors encouraged participation in ArtsCrawl, a Mother's Day arts fair, and an upcoming community cleanup. City Manager Frank Chiapetti congratulated Matt Robinson on obtaining an FAA drone pilot license and noted other community events and staff recognitions. The meeting adjourned after a unanimous motion by Councilor Piano.
