Commission approves conditional-use permit for Prestige Contracting (Homer Roofing)

The Woods Cross Planning Commission granted a conditional-use permit to Prestige Contracting LLC (doing business as Homer Roofing) to operate a roofing repair and replacement contractor business at 1901 West 2425 South. Leah Seawright told commissioners the business will not manufacture or sell products from the site and that storage and operations will be inside the warehouse; the applicant said they store a 16-foot trailer on site and typically have three employees.
Jon England, territory manager for Prestige Contracting, said there are three parking spaces and that neighboring businesses sometimes occupy those spaces. Commissioner David Lewis moved to approve the conditional-use permit with standard conditions — business license, required fire inspection, compliance with jurisdictional requirements, and no negative impact on adjacent properties — and Commissioner Robin Goodman seconded. The motion carried in a unanimous roll call vote (6–0).
The approval is conditioned on maintaining licensing and any required inspections; staff will continue code enforcement oversight as needed.
