At the July 7 meeting, Sarah Millard of the Energy Committee asked whether the town’s Impact Fees could be applied toward installing solar panels on municipal buildings. Staff and Board members explained that Impact Fees must be used for capital improvements attributable to growth and that, per current practice, Impact Fees in town have been discontinued except for roads as of 07/02/24.
Select Board representative Lorrie Carey said she compiled a packet regarding recoupment and will scan and send the material to Planning Board members for their consideration. The Board did not change Impact Fee policy at the meeting; the conversation was a request for information and clarification of allowable Impact Fee uses.
