The River Ridge board authorized Bowman to retain RG Architects, P.A. as a subconsultant to redesign two gatehouses and associated elements.
Mr. Long described the project as a 'facelift' rather than demolition, citing low clearance strikes to the main gate (12 hits this year) and an estimated 12–18 month design and permitting timeline. The board discussed contractor selection, subconsultant agreement markups and using Bowman/Hole Montes as conduit for contracting and reimbursement.
"On MOTION by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Mountford, with all in favor, authorizing Bowman to retain the services of RG Architects, P.A., as a subconsultant under the standard Bowman terms, and authorizing the Chair to execute documents as appropriate, after review by District Counsel and the District Manager, was approved," the minutes record. Mr. Long will lead the project and Mr. Blumenthal will serve as the board liaison; financing timing means most costs will be booked as deferred and reimbursable until construction begins in 2026.
