River Ridge board appoints resident Keith Merrill to vacant seat; oath administered

The River Ridge Community Development District unanimously appointed resident Keith Merrill to fill the vacant Seat 1 on Oct. 22, 2024.
"On MOTION by Mr. Schultz and seconded by Mr. Twombly, with all in favor, the appointment of Mr. Keith Merrill to fill Seat 1, was approved," the minutes state. Chair Bob Schultz had nominated Merrill, and the board thanked candidate Kevin Ofenloch for his willingness to serve.
Mrs. Adams administered the Oath of Office to Merrill. District Counsel Tony Pires and Mrs. Adams reviewed mandatory requirements for board members, including required ethics training, Form 1 and Form 8B disclosure procedures, the Sunshine Law and public records obligations. The term for Seat 1 expires in November 2026; staff will administer additional onboarding requirements at the next meeting.
