Woods Cross Planning Commission elects Joe Rupp as chair, Mike Doxey as vice chair for 2026

The Woods Cross Planning Commission elected Joe Rupp as chair and, after a tied roll-call for vice chair, selected Mike Doxey for the vice chair position for 2026.
Commissioner Mike Doxey moved to elect Joe Rupp as chair; Commissioner LeGrande Blackley seconded and the motion carried. For vice chair, Blackley moved to elect Doxey while Commissioner Jake Hennessy nominated Robin Goodman. The roll-call vote was split: Commissioners Rupp, Blackley and Doxey voted for Doxey; Hennessy, David Lewis IV and Goodman voted for Goodman, producing a tie. Commissioner Goodman then withdrew her name, saying she "would be more comfortable in learning more about how the Commission does things before she takes a leadership role," and thanked the commission for the nomination. After the withdrawal the motion carried, and Doxey was elected vice chair.
The election was conducted at the start of the commission's Jan. 13 meeting and was recorded by roll call as part of the official minutes.
