LaCee Bartholomew, Community Services Manager, outlined outreach and programming accomplishments and near-term priorities. Bartholomew said she manages social media, a monthly newsletter, an electronic reader board and Text My Gov, and is leading a website transition. She emphasized continuing efforts to promote a healthy community through events, Youth City Council programming and monthly senior lunches.
Bartholomew reported the recreation program expanded by 25% and now offers seven weeks of summer programming, supplemented by two weeks of lower-cost programming at Woods Cross Elementary and adaptive programming for participants with special needs. She said staff will continue to pursue sponsorships and grants to support events and program growth.
