New Berlin board approves consent agenda, buys soccer goals and adopts towing rule

The Village of New Berlin board met Oct. 15 and approved several routine and substantive measures, including a TIF-funded purchase for recreation equipment and a new administrative process for towing vehicles.
The board approved the consent agenda on a motion by Trustee Sue Spalding, seconded by Trustee Greg Lokaitis. The meeting minutes state the motion “carries,” with Trustee Stephen Knox recorded as absent for the vote.
Trustees later approved a motion "to approve purchase of soccer goals for South Park, not to exceed $5,700," moved by Trustee Stephanie Synder and seconded by Trustee Cindy Morris. The motion passed with five votes in favor and one no (Trustee Norman Casson); Trustee Knox was absent.
The board also adopted Ordinance 25-11, "Establishing an Administrative Tow Process and Fee," on a motion by Trustee Cindy Morris and a second from Trustee Sue Spalding; the minutes record a unanimous yes vote among those present. After those actions the board voted to convene an executive session at 7:45 p.m. and adjourned at 7:53 p.m.
