Council approves sale of multiple city parcels between Grant Boulevard and South Drive

The council adopted a set of ordinances authorizing the sale and transfer of a group of city‑owned vacant lots located between Grant Boulevard and South Drive. City Attorney Ariana and City Assessor Michael Mills described longstanding outreach with adjoining property owners and said all the lots had prospective buyers interested in purchasing and incorporating the parcels into their properties.
"This is a project for a city owned vacant parcel located in, between Grant and South," Ariana said, thanking the assessor for outreach. Council members said putting the lots back on the tax roll and removing maintenance obligations were benefits of the sales. The vote to adopt ordinances 9a through 9n carried unanimously (5–0).
