Planning board approves site plan for Cook’s Ridge Road property, applicant to consolidate operations

The Lackawanna Planning Board voted to approve a site plan on Nov. 19 for a project at 910 Ridge Road proposed by John T. Cook Jr. The applicant described consolidating operations into the existing building, adding garage doors in the rear, improving parking and installing landscaping and lighting.
The applicant (represented at the meeting) said asbestos testing had been completed and that the plan would not add manufacturing; rather, it would consolidate storage and some showroom/overflow functions in one location. "We wanna open this up and put a couple garage doors, not changing the outside," the presenter said, describing internal re-use and parking improvements.
Board members confirmed the proposal would improve the Ridge Road corner and parking for adjacent businesses; the motion to approve the site plan was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
