Kingston consultants to analyze funding options as residents question who pays for sidewalks

Public commenters questioned whether a referendum alone is sufficient, urged examining business improvement districts and parking management revenues, and emphasized prioritizing safety and everyday connections rather than preservation alone. Presenters said financial analysts from Municipal Solutions will complete the funding analysis and present recommended approaches as part of the final report to the Common Council.
