The Monte Rio Recreation and Park District Board of Directors voted Feb. 10 to approve interbudgetary transfers intended to balance payroll, beach maintenance and garbage/refuse expenses for early 2025. The motion, moved by Director Jean Sasso and seconded by Director Brooke Maury, passed with all present directors in favor.
Exhibit A directs two $6,000 reallocations: $6,000 moved from Maintenance Contractors (split to add $4,000 to Payroll Maintenance and $2,000 to Payroll Seasonal Employees) and $6,000 moved from Recreational Supplies (split to add $4,000 to Beach Maintenance and $2,000 to Garbage/Refuse). Additional smaller adjustments reallocate $1,000 from July 4th, $2,000 from Maintenance General, and $1,000 from Repair Maintenance YC into the district's Water line to cover expected utility costs.
The transfers respond to shortfalls identified by the Budget Committee and were presented to the full board for approval. Board members did not raise objections during discussion and the motion carried unanimously. The board's January financial report, reviewed earlier in the meeting, showed January expenses of $44,015.38, which staff said informed the committee's recommendation.
A copy of Exhibit A is part of the meeting record for Feb. 10.
