During the supervisors’ requests and public comment slot, residents asked district staff to follow up on several maintenance and permit issues. Anita Bachragh asked that a downed tree by River 9 Catch Basin #134 be brought upright and suggested the conservation area be cleared again; Operations Manager Shane Willis asked her to send photographs so staff could review the areas and address requests.
Christine Mantilia inquired about stormwater management permits and whether it would be possible to allow fire trucks to use lake water to lower levels. Mr. Krebs said allowing truck drafting is "not typical," that it could pull in plants and fish, and that it would require approval from the South Florida Water Management District. Larry Fiesel asked about the speed sign project; Mr. Willis said Mr. Long is scheduling a training event and will provide an update at the next meeting.
