Community Development Director Curtis Poole told the Woods Cross Planning Commission on Feb. 10 that the City Council will discuss whether to assign another council liaison to attend Planning Commission meetings.
Poole noted potential pros and cons: a liaison can bring council input to the commission, but "there may be some concern that a City Council member could not look at a situation objectively during a Council meeting if they have sat through a Planning Commission meeting with discussions and decisions being made," he said. The commission discussed the trade-offs and asked staff to report back after the Council’s discussion.
Poole also alerted the commission that another conditional use and a potential site plan would appear on the next Planning Commission agenda. Staff will provide further information following the City Council meeting about the liaison decision and bring the upcoming items to the commission for review.
