The River Ridge Community Development District voted unanimously on Nov. 19 to terminate its landscaping contract with Laz’s Lawn Service, citing poor performance, and to engage GulfScapes Landscape Maintenance Services at a proposed contract amount of $58,500.
Mrs. Adams explained GulfScapes' proposal is approximately $13,000 higher than the $45,000 budgeted amount. The board discussed offsets including using unassigned funds and applying payments withheld from Laz’s Lawn to cover plant replacement costs. On motion by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Schultz, the board authorized terminating Laz’s Lawn Service and engaging GulfScapes effective immediately.
Staff were directed to finalize and execute the agreement and manage contract transition tasks, with financial adjustments to be reflected in future statements.
