Operations Manager Shane Willis presented the AV‑Tech estimates and Eric Long, PSGRC general manager, said moving an existing unit was recommended because "the unit clocked 800 varied speeding violations over a three week period." The board authorized the purchase unanimously and discussed purchasing poles (estimated at about $1,200 each) and possible HOA cost‑sharing for ongoing cloud‑device fees.
Board members said traffic calming is part of long‑term planning; Mr. Willis noted $150,000 remains budgeted for traffic calming. The approved package includes wiring and installation (Estimates 24150 and 24151) and a mobile unit suggested by Mr. Long. The board did not change the budget line at the meeting; staff were directed to proceed with vendor coordination and pole procurement.
