Woods Cross officials voted to award the Well 3 drilling contract to High Plains Drilling for $590,685 as part of the city’s multi-step Well 3 replacement project. Public Works Director Sam Christiansen said the drilling is the second of three steps; wellhouse demolition was completed in November 2025 and the city will later bid out wellhouse and pump upfitting work. The council adopted Resolution 2026-958 on the consent agenda.
Christiansen and Finance staff explained the project will be paid from the Water Fund and that the full Well 3 replacement program has been budgeted at $2.5 million in the 2025 Series Water Bond. Staff recommended award contingent on verification by JUB engineering of the bid results; council action approved the award as presented.
