Oak Run resident urges Board to fund Lake 8 drainage fixes after water intrusion reports

Rich Batterberry, a resident speaking for Oak Run homeowners, told the River Ridge Community Development District board that rainwater pooling from the monument to about halfway down Lake 8 is taking a long time to recede and "is getting under the foundations," and that one neighbor had incurred significant costs trying to mitigate water coming up through a floor.
District Engineer Charlie Krebs reviewed the Seaside scope of work and said the Lake 8 issue could likely be addressed by completing similar regrading and littoral plantings; Krebs said he will obtain cost estimates for replanting Cord Grass and Arrowhead behind 20859 Glen Eagles Lakes Drive. Chair Bob Schultz said the board would consider the matter during the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 budget process.
