The Salem Township Planning Commission voted unanimously Sept. 4 to advertise a special meeting to review proposed amendments to the township’s Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO). The special meeting will be scheduled during the first two weeks of October on a date agreed to by Planning Commission members.
Commission member Paul Holleran moved to approve advertising the special meeting and Chair Connie Mattei seconded the motion; the vote was unanimous. Resident John Write asked whether the revised SALDO materials would be distributed for public review prior to the special meeting. The commission indicated the public advertisement will be posted 7–10 days before the meeting and that the SALDO revision will be available at that time for review.
The special meeting is intended for detailed discussion of proposed SALDO changes; the commission did not adopt amendments at this session and will consider them during the advertised meeting.
