The Woods Cross Planning Commission on March 10 approved a conditional use permit for Tech Connect, a business that will operate an office and warehouse for repair and maintenance of backup power equipment at 2272 South 1560 West. Community Development Code Officer Leah Seawright told commissioners the applicant operates inside the building, deliveries will occur during regular business hours, hours would be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the firm currently has eight employees and the unit provides 11 parking spaces — an amount staff said is adequate based on unit square footage.
Ben Forsyth, the applicant, addressed the commission and "said he had no concerns with any of the conditions." Commissioner LeGrande Blackley moved to approve the conditional use permit with four conditions: (1) obtain and maintain a business license; (2) obtain South Davis Metro Fire inspection if required and submit a copy prior to business license issuance; (3) remain in compliance with any government entity having jurisdiction; and (4) ensure business operations do not negatively impact adjacent properties. Commissioner Robin Goodman seconded the motion and the roll call vote was unanimously in favor of approval by the members present.
