MFT bid opening set; water tower maintenance raised

Mitch Neuman announced at the May 21 meeting that the Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) bid opening will take place next Tuesday at 1 p.m. and that, as of the meeting, only one bid had been submitted.
Separately, Bill Poole noted maintenance issues with roadsides under IDOT agreements and said the village water tower—last cleaned four to five years ago—may need cleaning again. Trustees recorded these items for follow-up; no procurement or maintenance vote was taken on the water tower cleaning at the meeting.
The Board also recorded that Cameron Jones will investigate concrete and asphalt road grants due June 2 to determine possible applicability for village projects.
