TIF report: $463,000 received this fiscal year; resident requests parcel removal
Summary
Trustee Stephanie Synder presented the TIF annual report (the district received $463,000 this fiscal year; nearly $130,000 committed). Resident Mike Chalcraft requested removal of a property from the TIF, citing conflicting rules; a later segment shows a different TIF expiration year was stated, noted as a transcript inconsistency.

At the May 21 meeting Trustee Stephanie Synder reviewed the Village’s Tax Increment Financing (TIF) annual report, saying the district received $463,000 this fiscal year and nearly $130,000 of that has already been committed.
Following the report, resident Mike Chalcraft asked that a property be removed from the TIF district, citing conflict with TIF rules. The minutes record the request but do not show a vote or decision on removal at the meeting.
The record contains an inconsistency about the TIF’s end date. In the TIF report Trustee Synder is transcribed as saying the TIF "ends on Dec. 31, 2024," while a later statement in the meeting (SEG 013) attributed to Trustee Snyder indicates the TIF "expires in 2028." The minutes do not resolve the discrepancy or note which statement reflects the official end date.
Board members asked questions and provided clarification about how the TIF was set up in response to social-media questions raised during the election cycle, but no formal action to change the district was recorded.
