Board OKs $6,240 spray-patch contract for village streets; vote 5–1

The Streets & Parks written report, presented earlier in the meeting, included several operational requests: relocating a speed limit sign at Olive and Maple; considering speed bumps on Cedar, Birch, Ron Anderson and Bourbaki streets; and asking a construction company to relocate a dumpster at Olive & Elm that obstructs railroad-track visibility. The committee also flagged that heavy trucks are crushing internet boxes on the south side, which is zoned commercial.
Trustees did not take separate votes on speed-control measures or dumpster relocation at the meeting; those items were recorded for follow-up. The spray-patch allocation is a discrete maintenance expenditure approved by majority vote.
