Clerk Debbie Lakamp told trustees that audit work identified an overpayment to one or more trustees and that the village will issue overpayment letters to the affected trustees. The clerk also said she needs to follow up with the Locis financial system on several items and that Treasurer Libben is continuing work to balance January 2025.
Deputy Clerk Amanda Lazzara said she had identified operational items in Locis and noted that online payments currently offer no internal checks and balances, indicating a need for administrative process review. No formal motion or remediation plan was adopted at the meeting beyond the clerk’s statement that letters will be forthcoming.
