Planning Commission tables Westmoreland County Food Bank addition over missing site and permitting details

The commission tabled the Food Bank's proposed building addition and parking plan because the submission lacked required setback confirmation, parking/loading dimensions, internal circulation, stormwater and erosion control approvals, and resolution of an encroaching shed between properties.
Surveyor Dan Irvin presented a site plan for an addition and parking area at the Westmoreland County Food Bank (parcel 57-12-00-0-087). The commission required a revised site plan showing a 15‑foot rear and side yard setback, a 30‑foot front building setback from Devonshire Road and Cloverleaf Drive, removal of topographic contours for clarity, dimensions and areas for existing building and proposed addition, and clear identification of the Cloverleaf Drive access.
The commission also said the plan lacks sufficient information to determine off‑street parking and loading compliance (number and size of spaces, distances between rows, label and size three proposed loading docks, internal traffic circulation). A required note must address an existing shed encroachment onto Rimco property and clarify that approval does not authorize or resolve the private encroachment. Stormwater and erosion & sedimentation control approvals are required. Because these items were missing, motion by Paul Holleran, seconded by Connie Mattei, to table the plan passed by majority vote.
