Salem Township adopts 2025 budget with no tax increase

The Salem Township Board of Supervisors on Dec. 18 approved Resolution No. 31-2024 adopting the township's 2025 budget and fixing the tax rate for 2025. "There will not be a tax increase for 2025," Chair Bob Zundel said during the meeting.
The board also authorized advertising for the re-organization meeting on Jan. 6, 2025, and the auditors' meeting on Jan. 7, 2025. Planning Commission meeting dates were adjusted to accommodate members; Planning Commission Chair Connie Mattei explained the commission moved a meeting to Thursday to fit the solicitor's and members' schedules.
The budget vote was unanimous: supervisors Bob Zundel, Ken Trumbetta and Kerry Jobe voted in favor. The action clears the way for routine adoption steps at the re-organization meeting and signals the board's intent to hold the township's tax rate steady for the coming year.
